While no one person will have all the qualities enumerated below, the successful candidate will bring many of the following qualifications and attributes:
BS or BA in Translation, Interpreting, Linguistics or similar field.
Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role.
Fluency in three languages preferred. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in either Spanish or Creole is strongly preferred.
Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
Experience interpreting during live or in-person events, such as rallies and press conferences.
Familiarity with translation software.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat;.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop a plus, but not required.
Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus, but not required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, within the range of $52,000 - $70,000. The ACLU of Florida provides excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance with generous vacation, holiday and sick leave policies, as well as a Defined Contribution 401K Retirement Plan
