Education and Experience:  At a minimum a bachelor’s degree. Professional translation experience, or other similar language industry experience. Alternatively, a degree from an institution of higher education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable:

Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English and in European Spanish
Expert-level experience in translation/localization
Ability to translate documents accurately, preserving the meaning of source content
Ability to detect errors in meaning, usage, terminology, spelling, grammar, style, and tone
Knowledge of editing and proofreading best practices, especially including following European Spanish guidelines for various file formats
Knowledge of CAT tools (especially SDL Trados Studio), translation memories, and glossaries
Aptitude for creating and updating professional documentation, including style guides
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team with minimal supervision and regularly report on progress
Capacity to receive constructional criticism and apply it consistently
Ability to effectively multi-task in stressful situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
High motivation, willingness to take initiative and complete assignments
Participate in a culture of responsiveness to strengthen relationships and ensure the needs and time of others are met and respected
