SPECIFIC POST REQUIREMENTS (As required by the Hiring Manager)

Essentials :    

At least five years of progressively responsible experience in language services work, proofreading  and production of documentation in Spanish
Advanced computer literacy skills  
Ability to write and spell correctly in Spanish and English
Courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people from different cultures and nationalities

Desirables:   

Experience in the production of parliamentary documents
Experience or knowledge of  conference services
Knowledge of a third United Nations  office language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) or working knowledge of Portuguese (WFP's working language)
Knowledge of computer-assisted translation tools.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Completion of secondary school education. 

Language: Working knowledge (proficiency/FAO level C) of English and Spanish.

Experience:  Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in language services work, including at least one year in the production of documentation and at least one year at the G4 level or equivalent (for internal candidates only)
