For me, translation is a type of “haute couture”: the end result arises only after much painstaking work to make sure the original text and its translation form a whole piece.
Translator of Dutch, French, Spanish and Catalan
Marina earned her degree in Translation from the Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes in Brussels, and has worked as a freelance translator since 1997. She has worked at several different official Catalan organisations in Brussels, for which she performed both translation and liaison interpreting duties. She has specialised in legal translation and works for a number of law firms in the province of Tarragona, as well as for the courts in the same province. She has also translated several children’s book collections for EDEBÉ publishers to both French and Dutch, her second working language. The other languages with which she works are Spanish and Catalan.
